Dude…

Last week of single digit weeks. Getting closer, and closer to the first ever College Football Playoff. There weren’t very many upsets this week, and there were only a few key matchups in the week. If you were apple picking, pumpkin carving, or got roped into another weekend activity with your girlfriend, the Dudes have the latest updates for this week!

Maybe year 17 could be when KU finally beats K-State- Yes, there will ALWAYS be a short section over the crappy Kansas Jayhawks. I was actually hopeful they would be able to salvage this season. Beating K-State would have done that for me. They could’ve only won 3 games and as long as one was over K-State, I would’ve been ok with it. BUT NOOOOOOO. THEY SUCK SO BAD IT’S NOT EVEN FUNNY!! Get rid of the offensive coordinator, JD can go rot somewhere. The defense should not be apart of the boarder patrol because they let everyone through at the worst time. It’s just the same thing. Over. And over. And over again. JD had 209 yards, 1 pick, and 1 touchdown. With a QBR of 68, he can just ride the bench this season. It’s all over. The Jayhawks had another 4th quarter lead and what did they do? THEY SHIT THE BED! Like always!!! It’s just insane. Starting off pre season ranked #19 and being 2-6 is disgraceful. The only positive is that Devin Neal has scored the most touchdowns in a Kansas uniform of all time. Which hey, you think we would run the ball more. BUT WHAT DO I KNOW? Season’s over, put a pin in it and hopefully Isaiah Marshall can turn this boat around next season.

Alabama, Indiana, and Ohio State with big wins- Some big names got some big wins this weekend to propel them closer and closer to the College Football Playoffs. Alabama, after losing to Tennessee, bounced back and beat the Missouri Tigers 34-0. The rushing attack was demolishing the Tiger defense as they combined for 4 of their touchdowns. Not only that, but Jalen Milroe was efficient with 215 yards and 0 turnovers. Brady Cook got hurt for the Tigers and Drew Pyne came in. He proceeded to throw 3 picks and demonstrate that he is not ready for primetime. The Hoosiers of Indiana keep their undefeated season alive as they beat Washington 31-14. Another great rushing attack from Justice Ellison who had 123 yards rushing and a touchdown. Tayven Jackson who had a throwing and a rushing touchdown. The Hoosiers continue their hot streak and prove yet again that Indiana is more than just a basketball state. Ohio State beat the Cornhuskers 21-17 thanks to a 3 touchdown game from WIll Howard. He looked good, but he has shown to be good when he was at K-State. Can he propel the Buckeyes past the Nitty Lions next week? Prolly not, but they have pretty much sealed their fate into the playoff if they can somehow beat Penn State during a white out game. Will Howard and pressure aren’t a good mix so we will see.

Notre Dame smashes the Military- Ok Notre Dame we get you’re good. Ok Notre Dame they’ve had enough. OK NOTRE DAME JESUS YOU DON’T NEED TO EMBARRASS OUR MEN IN THE SERVICE THAT BADLY! Notre Dame took on undefeated Navy. I honestly thought this was going to be a good game. I was wrong. The Fighting Irish came out and manhandled the ship sailors. Everything was working. The rushing attack was on fire. Jeremiyah Love had over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kedren Young had a touchdown and 50 yards, and QB Riley Leonard had over 80 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown. Leonard also had 178 yards in the air and 2 throwing touchdowns, with 0 turnovers. Navy tired their best but they were simply outmatched and outplayed. It’s not over for Navy, as a one loss team is very good. The Irish continue to impress after the embarrassing loss to Northern Illinois in week 2. That loss will definitely impact their seed in the College Football Playoff, but this win should seal them into the playoff, unless a meltdown happens.

Aggies on Top- The biggest game of the week happened in College Station as the Texas A&M Aggies welcomed the LSU Tigers into their home territory. In the beginning, LSU was steam rolling the Aggies. No one could stop Nussmeier and the LSU offense and the A&M offense was stagnant and stale. Then in the 2nd half, the Aggies switched to their backup in Marcel Reed and the Aggies just ran it down the Tigers throats for the rest of the game. Reed ended up with 3 rushing touchdowns and running back Le’Von Moss had 2 of his own. The switch at QB was a gamble that ended up paying off in extreme ways. The Aggies find themselves as a top 10 team in the nation now, and 5-0 in the SEC. The Aggies are making a strong push toward the playoff after dropping their season opener to Notre Dame at home. If this rushing attack continues, it’s going to be hell for any defense that faces them.
