Dude…

Wow! What a week! We had overtime wins, and close losses. We had touchdowns and turnovers. We had Taylor Swift and all her haters here too. Don’t worry, I won’t be talking about Travis Kelce’s girlfriend. THIS IS A SPORTS BLOG AFTER ALL!! This week was incredible, let’s get into it.

Ravens close out Joey Brr- If you like offense, then you fell in love with this game. The Baltimore Ravens edged out the Cincinnati Bengals in an intense overtime thriller, winning 41-38. The Bengals had a strong showing, led by Joe Burrow's career day, throwing for 392 yards and five touchdowns. Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase also had a standout performance with 10 receptions for 193 yards and two touchdowns. Despite the Bengals holding a 10-point lead twice in the fourth quarter, the Ravens rallied back, with Lamar Jackson’s precise passing and Justin Tucker’s game-winning field goal sealing the win in overtime. Joey Brr and company is going to need to figure out how to win these games. They are 1-4, which doesn’t look good for their playoff hopes. Lamar continues to do Lamar things as they push forward, we will have to wait and see if they can keep this momentum going.

J-E-T-S No More Robert- The New York Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh after a disappointing start to the 2024 season, marking the end of his tenure after three-plus years. Despite the defense performing well under his leadership, the team struggled offensively, even with high-profile moves like acquiring Aaron Rodgers. Now, it’s not all Robert’s fault but somebody had to be the scapegoat. Rodgers needs to play better, as his play has been below London to the Vikings did not help Saleh’s cause. New moves in New York, hoping to make this flight fly straighter.

UM San Francisco, Seattle, what is this?- The two teams who had a lightning fast start have stumbled some. The San Francisco 49ers are now 2-3. They lost to lil Kyler Murray 24-23. Kyler played well, but San Fran should demolish a team like this. Now, injuries have been a huge consequence for them. Down significant players on the offensive and defensive side of the ball have been detrimental to their season so far. Seattle on the other hand… has no excuse. They lost to the Giants who might be one of the worst teams in football. The Giants also had their top receiver on the sideline. There should be no excuse when you start 3-0 to be 3-2. Just 2 really bad losses. The Seahawks need to bounce back, thankfully for them, the NFC West as a whole has struggled, so they need to figure it out and quick to compete with the 49ers for that auto bid into the playoffs.
