Dude…
Week 4 was one of the most boring weeks this season. No crazy upsets, the Patriots still suck, and Minnesota is 4-0… WAIT! Minnesota is 4-0!! The only other undefeated team in the reigning, defending, back-to-back Super Bowl Champions. Well, at least there is one surprise of the season. I’ve got the latest updates of this week's NFL football season!!
Jayden Daniels OH MY- Jayden Daniels was the second overall pick going to the Washington Commanders. Giving up top guys like Chase Young made it seem like this franchise was headed into despair for yet another season. However, JD (the good one, not the shitty KU QB) has been dicing up defenses. Daniels has some weapons in Scary Terry and a deadly duo in the backfield with Austin Ekeler or Brian Robinson Jr. The biggest threat is his mobility. Not only do you have to account for his passing ability, but his biggest weapon may be his legs. JD and the Commanders start of 3-1, way better than the other rebuilding teams. Everyone wants the number 1 pick, but it looks like the number 2 pick may be where future Rookie of the Year’s fall to. Sorry Carolina….
Sam Darnold is good?- Ok. So now do we realize it might not be the QB in NY? Can the Jets understand it's a system problem? Sam was given a chance and then discarded as a bad QB. He bounced around the league as backup, until he landed in Minnesota. Slotted as a backup, he got his opportunity when rookie JJ McCarthey went out with a season ending injury. Darnold and the Vikings were supposed to be the worst team in the NFC North. They flipped that around and now find themselves at 4-0. Sam has thrown for 932 yards, 11 TDs and only 3 interceptions. JJettas is still the best receiver in the NFL, Aaron Jones continues to be a consistent back like he was in Green Bay. How about that defense too! The Skol faithful must be super pumped about the future, and I think Sam is the MVP and Comeback Player of the Year front runner this year. Let's see if they can continue this run for the rest of the season!
Saints fold- Earlier this year, I was all about the Saints. Then I realized they went 2-0 playing DOG SHIT teams. Now facing better opponents, they find themselves 2-2. Losing by less than 7 points to both Philly and Atlanta is not a bad thing. However, Carr hasn’t looked as good as he did in the first 2 games. Throwing only 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions in those two games they lost is not a good look. However, Kamara looks like he is bad to his old dominant ways and the ex Chiefs defense is very good. Who knows if the Saints will turn it around but it depends on the QB. Can Carr get it going? Hopefully not next week, as they play the Chiefs on Monday night.
Chiefs, Chiefs, Chiefs- So another week, another victory. That doesn’t mean this team is going to have a 3 peat. This team took a major hit when Patrick Mahomes hit Rahee Rice in the knee. Rice made it to the sideline, but needed to be carted to the locker room. It seems like Rice has torn his ACL. A few questions pop up at this moment. One, why is Patrick trying to make the tackle after throwing an interception? YOU ARE OUR FRANCHISE GOD, YOU’RE ASKING TO GET HURT!! Stand on the sideline, get some water, get a neck massage. Let the other guys risk themselves. The Chiefs have proven to be good without our star players. Mahomes gets hurt, WE’RE DONE! Two, who steps up? I know we have Worthy, but who else? Juju? Drop artist Skyy Moore? A trade? Big questions surround KC at that position. The Chiefs still pull out the 17-10 win thanks to Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend and Xavier Worthy. However, the question still remains, what will happen next?
