Dude…
The NFL Football season is finally here!!! The best league in all the world kicked off last weekend. Last year if you followed this series, we went over every single game. This year, I am picking 4 of my biggest notes I found from the week and delivering them to you!! If I don’t cover your team, tune into our Youtube Channel called Dudes and Sports (duh) as we break down each team. Stream is on Sunday nights at 9:30 cst. So what are the NFL Notes 1 going to be? Find out now!!!
Chiefs Escape- Am I going to cover the reigning, defending, back-to-back Super Bowl Champions every week? Probably. It is the best team in football and my favorite team. The Chiefs let the stingy Baltimore Ravens come into Arrowhead and almost escape with a win. Only if Likely would have smaller feet. There were 3 major takeaways I got from this game. One, the Bills shouldn’t have let us get Xavier Worthy. He had 2 touchdowns and was a blur out there on the field. He continues to show his skill and speed to be an extreme weapon for this KC offense. With Rashee being a quick route runner, Worthy the speedster, and then Juju with his reliability and route running, the Chiefs were set. Once Hollywood Brown gets back to become a deep ball threat, the WR room may be the best Patrick Mahomes has ever had. Two, the defense looked good even with losing Willie Gay and Sneed. The defensive line got plenty of penetration, the linebackers played well, and the secondary held their ground. However, the big question still looms if the secondary will hold up and if Watson can fill the hole. Three, the Ravens are so petty. We get it. The Chiefs got calls. The Chiefs are so good were gonna complain. Get over yourself. Lively’s comment of “if that’s the best they can play, good luck in the playoffs” was just stupid. Ok, thanks for the advice to the back-to-back Super Bowl Champs. Bro, just say you lost and move on, quit with the excuses. I understand the Chiefs are the new Patriots of the decade, but we love to hear the hate as we raise trophies. Either win or shut up. Simple
Jordan Love injury will hurt the Packers This game took place on a Friday in Brazil. I thought the Packers were going to give the Lions a run for their money. Now, I don’t think that’s going to happen. Jordan Love is now out with what seems to be an MCL sprain. That will probably cost him at least 4 weeks which could be detrimental to a team trying to make the playoffs. The Packers also lost that game to the Eagles which puts them 0-1 on the season. Malik Willis will start for Green Bay this week. They may rely heavily on Josh Jacobs and the run game as Willis was ran out of Tennessee. Which isn’t a good thing. Green Bay fans should be concerned about the year, who knows what will happen next.
Bengals=shitty?: Oh great the Bengals get another easy win over the Pats… OH WHAT?! You’re joking right? Joe Shiesty got shit on? His wrist hurt by the way he picked up a water bottle? I don’t know what happened but the Cincinnati Bengals lost 17-10 to one of the teams that was supposed to be terrible this year. Joe Burrow did not look good when he only had one elite wide receiver out there. Higgins was hurt and Chase was there, but not all the way. They lost Mixon. Their offensive line looked bad. Their defense played good, but if you can’t put up any points then it doesn’t matter. Jerod Mayo has something cooking over in New England. It seems like his team has bought into his tough mentality and philosophy. Them boys were flying around the field. Burrow and the Bengals need to get their shit together quick, or else it’s gonna be a long season.
Can the Niners finally win a Super Bowl? The San Francisco 49ers are my pick to win it this year. Yes, I know I picked the Chiefs but after Sunday. What those guys did to that defense without McCaffrey is insane. The offense was a well oiled machine, except for punching it into the endzone. Aiyuk looked like he deserved that contract extension and the power duo of Kittle and Deebo are always cooking. Jordan Mason, who took the spot for the injured McCaffrey stole the show. He was an undrafted free agent that cooked the Jets defense. He looked damn good. All this weaponry, a now veteran Brock Purdy, and a craving to finally win a Super Bowl. These boys are out for redemption and blood!!!
