Dude…

Week 13 is over and we only have 1 more regular season game before we get to the conference championship weekend. Students are getting ready for finals around the country, and us sports analysts are sitting on our couch ready for the final weeks of college football. Here are your week 12 takeaways, and trust me, it was one wild week.

Boomer Sooner- The Oklahoma Sooner just became the kryptonite of DeBoer’s first Crimson Tide season. Standing with 2 losses, one more would definitely push them outside the playoff. With Oklahoma on the schedule, it should have been an easy win. It was, but not for the Tide. The Sooners won 24-3 in a BTA showing. Jalen Milroe, who was looking to be a Heisman candidate, until this game. He had 3 interceptions, one being a pick six to Kip Lewis which put the game on ice. The Sooners ran for over 200 yards. The duo of Jackson Arnold (130 yards on 25 carries) and Xavier Robinson (107 yards and 2 touchdowns) torched the Bama defense over and over again. This was an old fashioned beat down. Alabama finds themselves with 3 losses, which will probably lead to them on the outside looking in on the College Football Playoff. Oh well.

ASU Storming- Arizona State was projected to finish near the bottom of the Big 12. They ignored all the noise, and continued to play good football. Hosting BYU was the key for Arizona State to make the Big 12 Championship. As long as they won. Coming off a bad loss at home to Kansas (HAHAHAHAHAHA), BYU still controlled its own destiny. Cam Skattebo wanted to make the championship. He was running all over the Cougars with 147 yards and 3 touchdowns. Arizona State had BYU on the ropes. With hardly any time on the clock, BYU threw a pass that was knocked away for an incompletion. Arizona State fans stormed the field, just to realize there was still time on the clock. One last hail mary attempt was stopped at the 3 yard line. The fans continued the celebration, as the Sun Devils secured the 28-23, they now controlled their own destiny to make it to the Big 12 Championship.

Kansas Kingslayers PT 3- Heisman front runner. Don’t matter. Hall of Fame player as a coach. Don’t matter. His son was the QB and Safety. Don’t matter. Control their own destiny. IT DOES NOT MATTER THE KANSAS KINGSLAYERS OWN YOUR BITCH ASSES. Hit the Heisman in the endzone. STILL HOLD THIS L FUCKING LOSER. The Jayhawks continue to play spoiler as they knock off their third ranked team in a row in a BLOWOUT win over Colorado 37-20. Travis Hunter still had a good game and deserves the Heisman with 2 touchdowns. However, the Kansas offensive coordinator figured out Devin Neal is pretty good and handed him the rock. Devin had 4 touchdowns and was a huge factor in the win. Jalon Daniels had a throwing touchdown to Neal and didn’t throw any forced throws. Now sitting at 5-6, the Jayhawks need a win at Baylor to make a bowl game. Going from 1-5 to crawling all the way back to have the potential to make a bowl game is a huge accomplishment. The Jayhawks didn’t seem like they had any juice left in the tank, but all hope is not lost. As long as they can beat Baylor in the final game of the season.
