Dude…
The NBA Playoffs are upon us!! This week, we get the notorious play in games where 4 teams compete for 2 spots in the playoffs. The NBA is known for being an offensive-only league, however, in the playoffs, teams step it up on the defensive end. I’ve been waiting for the flopping, no defense, no on-actually trying attitudes the NBA superstars bring to the regular season. The Playoffs are where people grab their popcorn (or a beer in my case) and sit down to watch the world's greatest basketball players go head-to-head and I’m hoping and praying the likes of Dillon Brooks and Draymond Green can leave the stupid flopping out of it, and compete on the highest stage of them all. But first, we need to see who actually is the least average to make it into one of the greatest spectacles in sports.
The first matchup takes place in the heart of Miami! Where palm trees and threes that take place on a daily basis. These Miami Heat take on a very familiar from just up the road in the Atlanta Hawks. The Heat are 3-1 against the Hawks with their only loss coming at Atlanta in a close 121-113 contest. In their last two contests came back-to-back. In the first contest of the two, the Heat dominated and won 117-109 with Bam Adebayo going off for 21. The second contest was more of a contest that came down to a narrow 130-128 victory for the Heat. Jimmy Buckets scored 26 and the Heat had 56 bench points to narrowly escape with a win. Now, the stage has been set for these two foes who know each other like than their own mother's homemade cooking to do battle to have the right to go against the juggernaut Boston Celtics. Now, the guard matchup should be interesting with the Miami superhero Jimmy “motherfreakin” Buckets vs. The man who owns New York, “Icy” Trae Young, and “Mr.Irrelevent” Dejonte Murray. Now, I understand Gabe Vincent is starting too, but we are talking about impact players and no offense to Vincent, he’s nowhere near these other three. The big man showcase between Bam Bam Adebayo for the Heat, and Clint Capela for the Hawks. This matchup is going to come down to who can stop the other team’s superstars. The Miami bench has proven to have a huge impact on these matchups and look for playoff Jimmy Buckets to carry this sunshine Miami Heat straight into the playoffs to battle in Madison Square Garden. Will Jimmy Buckets continue to be the MAN in the playoffs? Or will Trae become an owner of another city? Find out tomorrow at 6:30 pm ct!!
THE KING IS HERE!!!! The City of Angels captivates the world basketball fanatics' attention for another showcase of the greatest scorer ever to live as The King takes on the feisty Minnesota Timberwolves. The Lakers are 1-2 against the T-Wolves, but they dominated in their last contest at Minnesota, winning 123-111. The biggest problem for Minnesota comes with one of their big men, Rudy Gobert, also known as the man who started COVID back in 2020 by touching all the mics, is not making the trip to LA. The T-Wolves saw him and his teammate Kyle Anderson get into a physical altercation which cost Gobert a chance to lead the T-Wolves to a shocking win over King James. It’s just stupid. You’re supposed to be a leader, what are you showing your younger players? Oh, I’m upset about our twin towers scheme isn’t working out the way it was planned so I’m going to throw a temper tantrum like a 5-year-old. Come on, you’re a veteran get yourself together. I’ve seen a 6-year-old handle that situation better. So, one of the twin towers is out due to suspension, the other is doubtful due to injury. This has King James takeover written all over it. I think LA breezes past the T-Wolves to set up an all-time classic in Memphis which should be a spectacle. Who knows, maybe the human highlight reel, Anthony Edwards may shock the world and put his name in the record books. Find out at 9 pm central time!!!!!
