Dude…

Week 4 of the NFL season is over and with week 5 coming up the Dudes wanted to give you a look back at this last week! From coast to coast we had a slew of blowouts, and a slew of intense competition. We were sitting around the TV, drinking beers, and enjoying another NFL Sunday. Don’t worry, your boys at Dudes and Sports have you covered with the latest takeaways!!!

Lions vs. Packers

Lions Takeaway: This is the team to beat in the NFC North- The Lions have looked fabulous through 4 weeks. Their only slip up fell in week 2 against a high powered Seahawks offense. Jared Goff looks to be in command of the offense. David Montgomerey continues to bully defenses and Jahmyr Gibbs continues to show flashes of complete dominance. If the run game isn’t flowing, they have plenty of weapons in the passing game. Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of the most versatile wide receiver threats in the league. Josh Reynolds continues to be the deep ball threat and rookie Jameson Williams is finally off suspension adding another threat to this already deadly offense in the league. Look out NFL, the Lions aren’t the same as they once were.

Packers Takeaway: How did you not know you couldn’t jump over the center??

I had a lot of faith in this team. They started off with a terrible overall effort in the first half finding themselves down 24-7. The Packers came back out with a fire in the second half. They brought the score within one touchdown at 24-17. They forced the Lions into a field goal situation and then the unthinkable happened. How on Earth do you know you can’t JUMP OVER THE GOD DAMN CENTER ON A FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT??? Are you that clueless about the game of football?? This CRUCIAL mistake by the Packers special teams unit allowed for the Lions to bust this game wide open. All I gotta say is, let’s learn from our mistakes and never do this again.

Falcons vs. Jaguars (K Stelt)

Atlanta Falcons- Throw Ridder in the Attic, Andy. Not only does it suck throwing two bad interceptions in a game, its worse when it’s streamed in toy format where every millennial child can watch you fail miserably. Bijan is a machine and Kyle Pitts is in Tight End Hell.

Jacksonville Jags- Oh they won? We don’t care. The Jags are supposed to be a top squad this year but since they stunk it up against the Chiefs everyone kind of forgot about them, like they do the city of Jacksonville. Lawrence is doing decent but he doesnt look like an NFL QB.

Dolphins vs. Bills

Dolphins Takeaway: Got a slice of humble pie- So the team that put 70 points is going to get BLOWN OUT BY BUFFALO?? I mean come on. BesT OfFenSe In tHe LeaGuE, get real. The Dolphins looked all out of sorts against the Bills defense and it didn’t help that their defense gave up over 40 points as well. These Dolphins were Super Bowl Favorites last week, now they find themselves getting embarrassed by a team who lost the Aaron Roger-less Jets. Hey Miami, figure it out.

Bills Takeaway: Josh Allen is all the way back- I honestly thought the Bills would struggle. Especially against a high powered team like the Dolphins. I guess no one told Josh Allen that. He was wheeling and dealing all over the field. He threw multiple touchdown passes to Stephon Diggs and a couple other wide receivers as well. Allen had everything he wanted. It looked like he was playing against a bunch of middle schoolers. All I gotta say is that Allen is back and the Bills look like a huge threat in the AFC.

Broncos vs. Bears (K Stelt)

Denver Broncos- High school Defense. I don’t know about you guys but the Denver Broncos are a dumpster fire. This defense is impressively bad. Another year of pain and suffering for the mile high club. Russel isn’t the problem either, it's the coach and the DEFENSE. FIGURE IT OUT SEAN PEYTON. IF YOU CAN’T GO BACK TO RETIREMENT AND PUT KEVIN JAMES OUT THERE.

Chicago Bears- Don’t jump, bears fans. It’s only football. You guys didn’t have high expectations coming into the season so don’t get too upset with the performance. Fields isn’t going to be on your team next year. Also don't ever trade a first round pick for a 50 grade wide receiver. You will get through this, I promise. (No I don’t).

Ravens vs. Browns

Ravens Takeaway: Lamar is an MVP Candidate- So the Ravens won in convincing fashion. The Ravens have a slew of injuries once again. There’s one big difference between this year and last year. Lamar got PAID. He’s also playing like he’s getting paid. Lamar ran for 12 scores in this contest and he continues to show why he’s a top 5 QB. Putting up 27 points with no wide receivers and back up running backs is no easy feat. He should definitely be in this conversation

Browns Takeaway: Don’t take this loss as a bad loss- Deshaun Watson was a late scratch to this game. He ended up not playing, leaving the Browns out to dry. You could tell by not having Watson in there, their offense struggled. They never seem to get a good footing in this game and you could tell. If I’m a Browns fan, I’m not too stressed just yet. The AFC North looks TERRIBLE and if Watson can stay healthy, you may have a shot at a playoff spot.

Bengals vs. Titans (K Stelt)

Ten Titans- Bench Tannehill, start Tannehill. It’s basically every week for this team. Your QB plays bad one week and you want to cut him, then he comes out next week and plays like his 2018 self. Derek Henry is a BUS. In reality your team needs a great qb if you want to start being successful. Someone you guys can trust in.

Cinncy Bengal’s- Daniel Jones, but with swag. Looks like getting a new line for Joe Burrow worked out well. Oh but let’s blame his injury for his bad performance, that makes you feel a lot better, doesn’t it. Did it feel good talking crap against a team that beat you in the playoffs? Did your owner not think about why the chiefs didn’t bring back their tackle who was giving up way too many pressures? Your fans are too oblivious to realize how dumb your owner is to pay a guy $30 million to let Joe Burrow get sacked. Word of advice, Cincinnati. Don’t talk smack if you’re from freaking OHIO.

Rams vs. Colts

Rams takeaway: OOF, that was close to a disaster- The Rams almost saw a 23 point lead evaporate right in front of their eyes. Matthew Safford had a hip injury that sidelined him. It encouraged the Colts to dig themselves out of the hole and tie the game up. Stafford proceeded to hobble out on offense in OT and threw dart after dart to his receivers. It eventually led to a 22 yard touchdown to Puka Nacua for his first NFL Touchdown. I honestly thought this team wouldn’t lead to anything. I was wrong.

Colts takeaway: Honestly, without JT this team is better than I thought- The Colts have now competed in every single game they’ve played so far this season. They beat a very good team in the Baltimore Ravens and took the Rams to overtime. This team has demonstrated true grit by coming back from a 23 point deficit to tie the game. Anthony Richardson continues to show why he was the right guy for the job. This team may not contend this season, but they found their QB. That’s a lot more than the Bears can say.

Bucs vs. Saints (K Stelt)

New Orleans Saints- Mid. That’s all I can say. You have no real direction of what you want to do with this team. Chirs Olave and Micheal Thomas are fantastic targets for you but your QB is so freaking mid you won’t do anything special in the South if the Bucs take your lunch Money every Sunday. And stop hurting Kamara. 13 receptions for only 33 yards? That's so lame it makes me sick.

TB Buc’s- Baker is back. He is doing what I need him to do. Be a good QB. He gets a little erotic with his plays he calls but the Bucs will take it. In reality everyone is really quiet because Baker is doing well right now. It helps when your defense is very good but hes using his weapons correctly. I’m happy he's doing well and I hope he makes the playoffs again.

Commanders vs. Eagles (K Stelt)

Philly Eagles- the Commanders curse. I don’t think they’re as good as they were last year but they’re good. But when they play the Commanders it’s always a tight game. You guys have the exact same team as last year with a little bit worse of a defense. AJ Brown needs the amount of receptions he deserves and your run game is so sexy.

Washington Commanders- the Good, bad team. Look Howell isn’t a star but he does his job. The team isn’t going to make the playoffs but they believe they can win every game they play this season. In a way I can see how the Commanders want to develop their defense but EB needs time to build this team up. You can't be a good offense with not a lot of good offensive players, but he's doing his job. He’s being successful in the situation.

Vikings vs. Panthers

Vikings takeaway: At least you won a game- I can’t stand to talk about this team. Their offense is one of the most impressive and dynamic units in the league. However, they have a serious turnover problem. I mean SERIOUS. They continue to try and shoot themselves in the foot and their defense looks like a bunch of non athletes getting shredded by everyone. I feel bad for JJ as his talents are being wasted on a bad team. If I were the Vikings, I would look to move him like they did with Diggs. You need draft capital so you can help build up a defense that can actually help you compete, not be a liability.

Panthers takeaway: Even though you lost, it was probably your best performance of the season- The Panthers suck. We all knew that Bryce Young was going to struggle behind a terrible offensive line. We knew he didn’t have any weapons to throw the ball to. We knew he wouldn’t have a running back who was going to be lights out. We also knew their defense would be just ok. However, against the Vikings there may be a silver lining in all of this. Young actually didn’t look half bad when he got time in the pocket. The defense really stepped it up and delivered a 99 yard pick six. This Panthers team has a LONG ways to go to become relevant, but they are making small steps to reach that goal

Steelers vs. Texans (K Stelt)

Houston Texans- A good direction, and turnip greens. Stroud has a chance to be a good QB from Ohio State. The team is rebuilding correctly and could potentially be very good in the next few seasons. The Line is ripped to shreds but they can be a silly little team that makes it hard for good teams to win easily. Stroud has a great eye and he's so cool and collected in the pocket.

Pittsburgh Steelers- Matt Canada, get ready to learn Canadian. It’s not surprising that the Steelers are falling down this hard but a bad OC and a mid QB will equal out in a bad team. The team feels lazy in a way. Pickett is not awful but it's easy to make an ok QB look bad when your offensive game plan is that of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Raiders vs. Chargers (K Stelt)

LA Chargers- Don’t play a close game. If you do you know you’ll lose. But if you don’t, you’re the best team in the division. Your Coaching staff is still bad, it's crazy how having one bad situation in an organization can hurt a team. If this team had the Patriots coaching staff you'd be the best team in the league by a Landslide. Herert, stop throwing dumb INT’s.

LV Raiders- Bad owner. Yeah that’s how I see it. Why else would this team suck? He doesn’t do a good job at owning a team. Bad morals, bad coaching, bad FO. This is what you get for promising lap dances to your players. I know you may be failing for Caleb Williams but don't hurt the weapons you have.

Pats vs. Cowboys

Cowboys takeaway: congrats, you beat one of the worst teams in the league: I’m not spending time on this team. You know I can’t stand this team and they beat the shitty New England Patriots. Here’s your cookie.

Patriots takeaway: Congrats, you are the shitty team I mentioned above- Ok so Mac Jones isn’t the answer. Belichick made that pretty clear when he benched his starting QB. It’s not Bill’s fault his team sucks. However, it makes you wonder, was it Brady making the Patriots look good? At this point in time, I would say so. This team is looking to enter the QB lottery this year, let’s see how the rest of the year goes. I know I won’t choose to watch this team.

Cardinals vs. 49ers (K Stelt)

Arizona Cardinals- Stop bullying them. It’s easy to pick fun at the failure the Cardinals had. But they’re going out there and working hard. They’ve played hard teams and they deserve some respect… Dobbs may not have hair but he's got some on his nuts for how much production he's trying to produce with the weapons he has.

SF 49er’s- That’s how a white man runs a football. No seriously CMC is the best player in the League if he doesn’t get injured. The fact the league let them trade for CMC is ridiculous and mayhem. Truthfully I know how good this team is but I do not believe that Brock Purdy is good enough to win a Super Bowl.

Chiefs vs. Jets (K Stelt)

NY Jets- Donna Kelce effect. If I’m a Jets fan I have got to be proud of this team. Zach Wilson took one look at Donna Kelce and became the 2nd overall player he was meant to be. Your defense is also so underrated. Don’t get too upset with the Penalties. I think the culture has changed and your coach is a leader. You guys are not the Jets of the old anymore.

KC Chiefs- The Bad guys. Yep that’s what they’ve become. The City is so nice and kind too, why did they get picked to be the ones getting favorable calls late in the game. The world hates us. Because of Taylor Swift? Yes. Because of Patrick Mahomes? Yes. And you know whose fault it is? Travis Kelce. The Problem this team has is the trust between Mahomes and his receivers. It could be a problem in the playoffs.

Seahawks vs. Giants

NY Giants- NO LINE. It really is an impressive feat to be this bad as an offensive line. This is the NFL. a team should not be this bad at the offensive line. Also the Manning cast is not doing well anymore on how biased these guys are to teams. A pick six and you five head HOFer’s are pouting. Way to be unbiased, you clowns. Giants, you need help in the FO.

Seattle Seahawks- Next game.Yep this game was for sure a win for you guys. Witherspoon is a freaking dude. And your team is feisty. Also how did that gum feel when Pete Carrol was chewing on it? Gotta be the best gum chewer in the world. Idk what im saying anymore. This game was so stupid because of the Giants lack of competence.
