First Month Baseball Rankings
Dude…
The first month of the MLB has come and gone, and for some teams, the season already feels so very long while other teams just want the season to get started. I’ll go over the rankings of the teams that I believe are the best and the worst.
30. Oakland Athletics.
If you are an A’s fan, I am so very sorry for you. The owner has been planning this out for quite some time. Tanking the team to earn a quick buck, giving As fans the middle finger, and doing what he wants instead of what is best. The team isn’t good we all knew this was going to happen. These kids are high AAA level playing against good teams. As fans, you just hope the season ends as fast as it can.
29. Chicago White Sox
This team has lost its drive and it does not look like it’s coming back anytime soon, what was supposed to be a season where they tried to make a playoff run turned into a lack of effort. White Sox fans want the team sold fast before things get worse.
28. KC Royals
What a surprise, the royals are sucking in the first two months of the season, they have bad players in their lineups, and when they manage to figure one part of the game out, the pitching or hitting decide to suck ass because that’s part of the Royal’s mojo. If they want to be good they’ll have to start spending money in the next coming seasons.
27. St Louis Cardinals
It’s actually pretty crazy that pitchers have told the front office they can’t pitch to Contreras because he isn’t Yadi. Their pitcher sucks and they are making some of the worst decisions in the game today, they have a good culture and their management is screwing them over. They definitely need a culture change in the dugout because their fans deserve more.
26-25-24: Nationals, Reds, and Rockies
These 3 teams are so very similar, Washington has some good streaky players but they will fall short because of the rebuilding era, the Reds are going to have some good games, but like the Nat’s, game fatigue will set in and games will be harder to win. And the Rockies have some great players but they still have a pitching situation and a tough division to play in.
23. Phillies
Yeah, it sucks to say but the Phillies pitching has screwed them big time. They can’t get much work done on offense and they are in a tough division, maybe they will step it up come the middle of the season but it looks like the ship has been sunk already.
22. Giants
It feels like this team is good but they aren’t, they have good players but not well anything else. They have no help in their pitching situation, and also a tough division doesn’t help at all.
21. Tigers
I mean they are streaky right now, they were a bottom-five team, and now they’re taking games away from good teams. Young talent is doing well and their pitching has been surprisingly better. They may fall but hey they’re fun to watch.
20. Guardians
Yes, they have good players, but they just haven’t shown out to be something special. But maybe at the end of the year, they will have some spark to make people notice them. Nothing much to say but they’re an average team right now in a bad division.
19. Marlins
Don’t let their record fool you. Yes, their pitching is good but they don’t have that playoff lineup to get them anywhere, they need above-average players, and a fan base would help too. Good luck in a tough division. Help is not on the way.
18. Mets
Yes, the Mets have been stinky, but they still have a great lineup. The fans expect so much from them and think that a 90-win season is a failure. They need to understand that getting to the playoffs is important and not winning the most games.
17. Astros
Don’t worry, I Know they’ve been folding but just give them time, and they will pop back up. It’s a long season and they still have a great lineup. I wouldn’t be worried, there are worse situations to be in.
16. Mariners
Hmm. Yes, I know a lot of people like them and love watching them, but they have been losing easy games. They need to start winning those games if they want to make the playoffs. They have a star-studded lineup and need to use it more often.
15. Angels
Yes, they have good wins, but if they didn’t have those two studs on the team they’d be so bad at baseball. They better find a way to sell the team fast. If they don’t make the playoffs this year, it is a failure of a season.
14. Cubs
They have been winning a lot of games but I promise you they will not be in the playoffs or even close this year, they don’t have the overall talent to get there. Sorry Cubs fans, you’ll probably do better than the Pirates though at the end of the season.
13. Padres
How have these guys been losing games, oh it’s because buying players and not creating a culture doesn’t work in baseball, teams with good chemistry and good players always win out, stop trading away good talent and win with your farm. They’re still high on this list because they have too many good players.
12. D-backs
I swear this team is made up of clones, they’re all fast small, and powerful. Their pitching is solid and they can for sure make the playoffs and the World Series. Don’t let them get on base, they are way too fast. And Zac Gallen is making a Cy young run at this moment.
11. Red Sox
They have a lot of wins and are 4th in the division. Yeah welcome to the East, but they will have a lot to do to make it seem like they are really ready to make a playoff run.
10. Yankees
Yes, I put a team above one that is doing better than them in the standings, but the Yankees have way too much talent and pitching to screw this up, when they get some players back from the IL and be ready to go for the rest of the season.
9. Twins
Good pitching and ok hitting. But they have playoff tendencies and can take a lot of series away from them. They need some better hitting and they could legitimately make a world series run. Be scared of them if they don’t lose players to IL.
8. Brewers.
They are another good pitching squad, they need a bit more contact hitters instead of SO/HR hitters because that can easily hurt your team in the long run. They’ll most likely take the central division this year
7. Pirates
You can’t get mad at me when I talk about this team doing badly in the future, they’re doing well right now but don’t expect them to be that great in the later part of the future. But for right now they’re doing everything right.
6. Blue Jays
Stinks this team is third in their division, they have some studs on the lineup and a player having an MVP season in Matt Champman. Pitching is doing well, but they’re playing good teams and staying in the game, the east is a battle and they are right in the middle of the storm.
5. LA Dodgers
Oh what you’re mad now, this team would be tied for third in the AL East. They look good or whatever but they are only doing well for a couple of decent players playing extremely well. Don’t expect them to go far in the playoffs.
4. Orioles
A good, good team. They battle and win, they don’t give up and they are in it together. I’d love to see this team in the playoffs make some noise. Hopefully, they keep it moving up the hill. But please don’t put Ryan O’hearn in the game, just don’t.
3. Rangers
Despite their record, they’re doing this without one of the best shortstops in baseball. They are RBI machines and don’t really have a skunk in the lineup. If they fix their SO rate a bit, they will be scary in the playoffs.
2. Braves
Everyone knew they’d be up here. They are so good and they don’t lose easily. All of their players are so good and could win an MVP at some point in their career, every part of their lineup is good and there is no way you can stop them from being that good with a great development over the years.
1. Rays
Holy smokes this team is good, and they hit way too many home runs and pitch way too well. They still don’t have fans and still have a crappy stadium. But Randy Sandy is loving this year and maybe everyone’s favorite player this year. Hopefully, they win a title because they need one badly.
