Fight Card
Prelims
Welterweight: 14-0 Brazilian Gabriel Bonfim Vs 16-4 American Trevin Giles
25 year old undefeated Gabriel Bonfim (-350) takes on veteran Trevin Giles (+260). Gabriel is looking to stay undefeated in the feature prelim of this stacked PPV card. With a 14-0 record coming by three knockouts and 11 submissions, Gabriel has not let a fight go the distance. He had an impressive UFC debut in January of this year with a first round submission. Trevin has been in the UFC since 2017 and has compiled a 7-4 record and is on a two fight win streak.
Main Card
Welterweight: 16-6 American #12 Micheal Chiesa Vs 24-9 American Kevin Holland
Micheal Chiesa (+125) comes back from a two year hiatus from the sport to take on the very active Kevin Holland (-150). Chiesa, who is still ranked in the top 15, is coming off back to back losses in 2021. A veteran who has been fighting in the UFC since 2012 is looking to get back in the win column against vigilante the Trailblazer, Kevin Holland. Kevin will fight anyone and everyone, anytime, anywhere. 11-6-1 in UFC bouts in only 5 years under the UFC’s umbrella.
Lightweight: 25-8 American Tony “El Cucuy” Furgeson Vs 29-14-1 American Bobby Green
IT’S TONY TIME, BITCHES. El Cucuy (+300) takes on Bobby Green (-390). Tony is on a five fight losing streak but is a living legend and you can never count him out. Bobby hasn’t won a fight in his last three, making this a fan favorite fight but not much as far as title contention.
Heavyweight: 26-11 American #10 Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis Vs 21-8 Brazilian #15 Marcos Rogerio De Lima
The UFC’s most acclaimed power puncher, Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis comes into this fight as a +180 underdog, while fellow veteran Heavyweight Marcos Rogerio De Lima’s line is a respectable -220. Even with both of these fighters are 38 years of age there is no lack of skill in . Derrick the UFC’s all time knockout king, with 13, is on a three fight losing streak conversely Marcos is on a two fight win streak. Both these guys have incredible power.
Light Heavyweight: 29-9-1 Pole #3 Jan “Polish Hammer” Blachowicz Vs 7-2 Brazilian #2 Alex “Potan” Pereira
Jan Blachowicz (-115) looks to get back to the belt but has quite the challenge in front of him with, possibly the scariest man alive, Alex Pereira (-105). Jan is 40 years old and hasn't lost a non-title fight since 2019 and has impressive wins over the likes of Luke Rockhold, Dominick Reyes and Israel Adesanya. Jan lost his belt to Glover Teixeira in October of 2021 and has been working his way back since. Alex Pereira who famously came to the UFC in search of the Middleweight title with his long time rival Israel Adesanya, after winning the title and losing the rematch he has decided the cut to 185 is too much and go up to Light Heavyweight.
Lightweight: 29-7 American #2 Dustin “Diamond” Poirier Vs 24-4 American #3 Dustin “Highlight” Gaethje
The BMF title is up for grabs for the first time since its inception in 2019. Diamond Dustin Poirier (-150) goes for his second win against Justin Gaethje (+125). Dustin won his last fight by submitting Michael Chandler. Justin is coming off a decision victory against Rafael Fiziev. This is a great fight to bring back the BMF.
Card Expectations:
This is an absolute banger card. Even with the wonderboy fight canceled this card has a bunch of great fights. Lock of the week, the last fight night fridays did not go our way bringing the locks down to 2-2, but I have a good one this week: Kevin Holland, he has been active and while hes taken some losses they have been to some great fighters while his contemporary Micheal Chiesa has been out of the game for a while and I expect some rust from him.
Enjoy the card and drink responsibly.
