Prelims

Bantamweight: Ukrainian Serhiy Sidey -185 Vs. American Ramon Taveras +154

A Dana White’s contenders series rematch, Serhiy who got the win by a questionable TKO stoppage, getting an UFC contract. Ramon was given another shot and won his second DWCS fight by KO in 29 seconds. Should be a fast and exciting fight to get the card started.

Main Card

Featherweight: Englishman #4 Arnold Allen +160 Vs. Russian #9 Movsar Evloev -192

29 year old, 19-2 Arnold Allen is trying to get back in the win column after his decision loss to Max Holloway, after starting his UFC career 10-0 with 2 submissions and 2 knockouts. Movsar Eveloev has an even more impressive record at 17-0 and 7-0 in the UFC. This is a great start to the first PPV of 2024.

Middleweight: American #14 Chris Curtis -185 Vs. Canadian Marc-Andre Barriault +160

Champion Sean Strickland’s training partner at Xtreme Couture with extreme power. 30-10 with 17 knockouts Chris Curtis is a bad man, he takes on the hometown kid Marc-Andre Barriault. With a less impressive 16-6 record but he still has crazy power, he has 10 knockouts.

Welterweight: American #13 Neil Magny +285 Vs. Canadian Mike Malott -360

UFC Veteran Neil Magny has been hot and cold recently, going win-loss-win-loss his last 4 fights, most of these have been against top tier competition. While his opponent, another hometown kid Mike Malott is 10-1 with all coming by finish.

Women’s Bantamweight: American #2 Raquel Pennington +140 Vs. Brazilian #3 Myra Bueno Silva -166

This title fight should be interesting, Raquel Pennington is a veteran who has fought almost the entirety of the women’s bantamweight UFC roster but with a less that impressive 15-8 record this may be her last chance to gain a UFC title. Myra Silva on the other hand has been very impressive with a 10-2 record and 7 submissions.

Middleweight: AMERICAN Champion Sean Strickland -115 Vs. South African #2 Dricus Du Plessis -105

U-S-A DeSean Strickland makes his first title defense against South African Dricis Du Plessis. On paper Du Plessis has the better record, 20-2 to Strickland’s 28-5 but you can measure the intensity these two gentlemen have. This is the most anticipated fight signed so far this year and no way this goes all five rounds.

Card Expectations:

We are currently 7-4 on locks, this week I'm taking Myra Bueno Silva. Incredible women’s fighter with a lot of talent.

Enjoy the card and drink responsibly.
