CFP Semi Final Prediction

PC

Dude…

4 teams remain. All the lower seeds took out the first round bye teams. Which is strange, yet great at the same time. There will definitely be some adjustments for the CFP next year. Should the number one team play the winner of Ohio State and Tennessee? Probably not, but this was the first year of the expanded playoff. With Ohio State playing Texas and Notre Dame playing Penn State, we're in for a treat. I may have gone 2-2 last time, but I can only get 2 wrong this time. Progress!!!!

#5 Texas vs. #8 Ohio State- The Texas Longhorns escaped in a double overtime thriller against Cam Skattebo and the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the undefeated Oregon team. They didn’t just beat them, they beat the brakes off the Ducks. Will Howard played the game of his life and wasn’t allowed on the Rose Bowl stage either. Now, we have the Longhorns playing the Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl. By the way, why does Texas get basically a home game in the National Championship Semi Finals? Like, its a 2 hour trek for Longhorn fans. Seems pretty unfair to me. The “home field advantage” will matter as you will see a lot of burnt orange in the stands. Will Howard has played well for Ohio State. He beat Tennessee and Oregon in back to back great performances. However, I’ve seen Will Howard play. He can’t keep this up. He will make mistakes against this Texas offense which will lead to points. I think whoever can get the most turnovers will win the game. I think the Longhorns defense is better than the Buckeyes. Give me Ewers and the Longhorns to make the Championship.

#6 Penn State vs. #7 Notre Dame- Penn State has had the easiest path to the semi final. After beating bum SMU and then beating Ashton Jeanty and the Boise State Broncos. Although the score looked like a beat down, Penn State struggled to score on the Broncos defense. Their offense needs to step it up if they’re going to defeat Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish defeated the Indiana Hoosiers in round 1 and then beat up on a back up QB and a shaky Georgia Bulldogs team that was dealing with key injuries. Now, these two teams battle in Florida at the Orange Bowl. Both of these teams haven’t played “tough competition”, at least not to the extent of the other two teams on the other side of the bracket. Will Riley Leonard or Drew Allar help out their defenses more? I feel like the Penn State Nittany Lions have played better competition all year, due to being in the Big 10. Sure, Notre Dame played some great competition, but not as much. Allar is going to perform well. Just a feeling. With a rushing attack in Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton, the should be able to get some good rushing attacks going. Setting up Allar nicely to throw the ball down field. Give me Penn State to battle Texas in the National Championship.
