Dude…
2 Teams remain. One from the East Coast. Known for it’s crab cakes and clam chowder. Where history was made in the dumping of tea. A historic program looking for yet another championship banner to hang in the raptors. Another team seeks another historic run to the title. Where taking out contender after contender is no big thing in a loaded Western Conference. Shades of the 2011 season, and Uncle Drew is coming for redemption. HOLD HIS NUTS TD Garden. Everything is bigger in Texas. Oh yes, we have the Boston Celtics taking on the Dallas Mavericks to crown a 2024 NBA Champion. Now, the Dudes have been successful in their predictions with yours truly, PC, going 10-5. I’ve got my final prediction for the 2024 NBA Season.
There’s always some type of cinema with the NBA Finals. It’s like the lights shine brighter. Legends born. Jordan, Bron, Kobe (RIP Legend), Shaq, Wade created their legacies in the finals. Both of these programs have tasted greatness. The Celtics are one of the best franchises ever in sports. Bill Russell bled the Celtics into title runs. I don’t remember those times, but I do remember the Big 3. Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen. Now, the team is seeking a championship that has eluded them for quite some time. Jason Tatum bridged the big 3 to push the Celtics back into stardom. 5 Eastern Conference appearances and 2 NBA Finals appearances. Jaylen Brown being the solid 2 pushed the Celtics through. However, they haven’t won a championship yet. They added a Unicorn in Kristaps Porizingis who has been a star that has fallen from the sky. As the Celtics looked for their missing piece to finally push them to the top of the mountain. The Unicorn seems like the perfect fit to help the 2 headed demon succeed. With compatible pieces in the defensive minder Jrue Holiday and old head Al Horford transformed this team to the best record in the regular season. The Celtics bullied their way to the Finals. First, they redeemed themselves in beating the Heat that didn’t seem to stand a chance. Their gladiator in Himmy Buckets was sidelined. The Celtics beat the injured Heat in 5 games. Then came The Spida. The Cleveland Cavaliers were trying to hold it together, but yet again, injuries caught up to Donovan Mitchell and the Celtics got another fast pass to the Eastern Conference Finals. They face the young but speedy Indiana Pacers team. Who yet again get hit with the injury bug and the Celtics cruise to the NBA Finals. Even if this route was easy, do not deny the Celtics talent. They are seeking their redemption of the final trophy to edge their names into history.
However, another team is trying to gain a legacy of their own. The 2011 Dirk team went through a gauntlet to win a title. Beating Hall of Famer after Hall of Famer. This team is oozing that same type of aura. Where they had to go through a gauntlet to get to the final stage. In a blood bath, Luka pushes his team through. Doncic was an MVP Candidate and the best offensive scorer in the league. Guys have started to step up to the level to ignite this team. PJ Washinton went from zero in Charlotte to hero in Dallas. Derrick Jones Jr.was just a dunker, but found his role in the Dallas offense. The true story is the prodigal son returns to TD Garden. Kyrie Irving, after failing in Boston and getting booed out of the organization. He’s found his new home in Dallas. He’s bringing his own army, and is about to raid the Celtic Kingdom to steal the Larry O’ Bryant from under Joe Mazzulla’s nose. To become the Vader to the Celtics story. This has the making of being an all time classic!!!
Now who do I think is going to win. It’s simple when you think about it. Who is taking down Luka? Like, Jaylen is great but I mean, Luka is Luka. Kyrie is coming for revenge and I honestly think the Mavs will punch the Celtics in the month and steal a game. I think that game advantage will set up for a game 6 in Dallas, where Luka drops a 40 bomb. I’m riding the Mavs train and taking them in 6 games, making one of the best runs in NBA History.
